DROP OFF AND COLLECTION OF CHILDREN

As both a legal and insurance requirement all children must be signed in and out of the centre each day.

FOOD

  • A nourishing and nutritional afternoon tea is provided each day at 3:30pm (including fruit, vegetables, sandwiches, hot food and snacks). The daily menu is displayed on the chalkboard, the weekly menu is displayed on the information board.
  • Birthday cakes are most welcome on your child’s birthday.
  • During before care children are more than welcome to bring breakfast to eat, as the centre does not provide this.
  • We ask that if your child has special diet needs that they are discussed with staff and written on the enrolment form. If this is the case children may bring their afternoon tea from home.
  • Children with food allergies should also notify staff.

ALLERGIES

Parents are asked to continually inform staff verbally and in writing of any existing or new allergies. These may include food, milk intolerance, bites/stings or any first aide ailments.

SUN PROTECTION

The centre staff will insist on all children being appropriately protected against the sun, parents need to re- in force this also. In the hot summer months the policy is NO HAT NO OUTDOOR PLAY.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Photographs are taken whilst children attend the centre in order to evaluate the program and show parents what activities are going on at the centre. These photos are displayed on the walls, windows and on our website. Please indicate to staff and on your enrolment form if you DO NOT want your child photographed.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parent surveys are used in conjunction with the NQF process, and help us to obtain formal feedback from parents on their satisfaction with the service. We will obtain suggestions as well from them. All responses will be greatly appreciated.

Information displays inform parents of local news and general information.
